One of the best ways to get a dog to take a tablet is hide it in Liverwurst or cracker cheese in a can mix it with applesauce.  When you puppy has diarrhea or constipation, try mixing canned pumpkin (unspiced) with Greek Yogurt and a little light Karo syrup.  Seems to be liked better if chilled.  Strange but it works for both diarrhea and constipation.  Always check with your Vet for any upsets lasting more than one day.
